Here’s a look at what happened this the week of March 12 across our universe.
Paul Allen Named “Innovator for a Healthy Planet”
Vulcan Inc. Founder and Chairman, Paul Allen was honored at the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability annual gala for being an “environmental game-changer.”
“Great causes require great storytelling to communicate their aims. Never before has the power to encourage action through engaging audiences been a more important component of what we do at Vulcan,” Allen said.
At the event, Allen went further to encourage Hollywood to use storytelling to “prompt action on the things that matter the most for our future.”
Naledi: A Baby Elephant’s Tale, Now On Netflix
On Friday, Naledi: A Baby Elephant’s Tale premiered on Netflix. The Vulcan Productions’ documentary, in association with Off the Fence Productions, tells the true story of a baby elephant, Naledi, born into a rescue camp in the Botswana wilderness.
When she’s suddenly orphaned at one month, the keepers and scientist looking after the herd become tireless surrogate mothers. This heartwarming account of Naledi’s will to beat the odds sheds light not only this elephant’s struggle to survive but on elephants across Africa. See it now on Netflix.
