The Alley24 East project opened in February 2006 to nearly 1,000 employees from NBBJ, Skanska USA Building Inc. and WPP, contributing further intellectual capital and stimulating growth in the emerging Cascade neighborhood.
As one of Seattle's first mixed-use projects developed under the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED program, Alley24 is defined by its attention to maximizing resource efficiency, reducing waste and promoting the use of recycled building materials. Alley24 East's open layout and sustainable design platform feature more natural daylight than traditional buildings, significant access to fresh air through operable windows as well as shared views.
Alley24 also features an open, European-inspired pedestrian alleyway. A total of 28,000 square feet of street level boutique shops, restaurants and cafes such as Espresso Vivace, Urban Beast, tottini, Spa Blix, Mad Pizza and the Southlake Grill provide sought-after amenities to the growing number of employees in South Lake Union.
